Verizon not re-locking iPhone 5

Apple iPhone 5 techtxr

Recently it has been announced by Verizon that it'll probably not re-lock GSM & 3G related components of iPhone 5.But nothing is not yet confirmed.Clearly the carrier has some plans to push its customers to the costly roaming plans by doing that.A spokesperson from Verizon however, confirmed that the carrier has no plans of locking the iPhone in future.

This surely means that you can use a Verizon locked iPhone with any other GSM or HSPA+ network carrier which also includes Canadian & AT&T carrier.Of course, this still brings an explanation to prevent misinterpretation of having to both buy a Verizon model, either at full price or with a contract attached, and track down a nano-SIM for the carrier of choice. However it could settle the question of what network carrier to pick if you regularly need a passport as you travel -- especially knowing that neither AT&T nor Sprint will be quite so open-minded.
