First NFC Enabled Mouse from HP at $59

Heard of NFC Technology,Right? Well,its defined best as a wireless technology which allows for the transfer of data such as text or numbers between two NFC enabled devices.HP is going gaga these days with announcing a boatload of peripheral launches.The next product from the house of HP is NFC (near field communication) enabled Touch to Pair Mouse, which, as the name suggests, can be paired with another device simply through tapping.

 If, by chance, you don't have NFC on your laptop -- and you probably don't -- the mouse will function just fine as a regular old Bluetooth device.Scheduled to launch in November for $39, HP announced the X6000, which has four-way tilt scrolling and can be used on most surfaces, including glass.This is arriving this month for $59. Finally, if you love things simpler, there's also the Wireless Mouse X4500 and X5500, which will be available this month for $29 and $39, respectively.

Beyond mice, HP also trotted out the $29 Wireless Classic Desktop keyboard, along with the $49 Wireless Elite v2. For audio lovers, there's the HP Portable Bluetooth Speaker, which will go on sale next month for a cool $79. Eighty bucks (or thereabouts) will also get you a 90W universal power adapter that claims to be compatible with most notebooks. It also has a built-in USB port, allowing you to charge a mobile device at the same time. Rounding out the list is the Webcam HD 4310, an $89 shooter capable of 1080p video, autofocus, autoexposure and three-way video calling.

HP launches Envy m4 alongside HP Envy m6

HP  just announced the Envy m4, a 14-inch companion to the 15-inch m6 that went on sale this summer.

Like the m6, it has an aluminum design, along with Beats Audio and a subwoofer. Specification-wise, it offers Core i3 and i5 processors, up to 8GB of RAM and either a solid-state drive or up to 1TB of HDD storage. The display resolution is fixed at 1,366 x 768 -- typical for mid-range laptops. Intel Wireless Display is standard, and the battery runtime is approximately eight hours. Equipped with a fingerprint reader, it lets you use  HP's SimplePass technology to log into the PC and as well as websites.

HP,in the meanwhile also added two models to its growing line of Sleekbooks. These new models include the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15, which look like the company's entry-level G series, but are significantly trimmer. The laptops, available in black and red, will be offered with Ivy Bridge chips, optional discrete graphics, 1080p displays, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB of HDD storage. In both cases, the battery life is said to max out at six hours -- less than the m4 or most Ultrabooks, but still decent.

Last thing -- and this really is apropos of nothing -- HP also mentioned in its press release that the existing 11-inch Pavilion dm1 will be offered with an HSPA+ radio capable of running on T-Mobile's network. HP says it will offer up to 200MB of free data per month, for two years. That deal is effective next month, on October 26th.

The Envy m4 will start at $900 while the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and 15 will go for $500 and $560, respectively. These, too, will arrive on the 26th, the day Windows 8 launches.

HP ties up Touch Friendly Windows 8 for new All-in-One PCs

HP is clearly taking a page out of Apple’s playbook. Its quite a well known fact that some of the Envy Laptops produced by HP have an intense Apple MacBook Pro influence. Now that the extremely touch-friendly Windows 8 is coming, HP is taking a page out of the iMac line of AiOs with its latest Spectre line of AiOs.
The top of the line model, the Spectre One features a 23-inch panel, measuring 11.5mm, but it drops the touch screen seen in the TouchSmart line of AiOs produced by HP. Instead, like the iMac it features a trackpad that supports Windows 8 gestures. Other features include, the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, 6GB of RAM, 750GB or 1TB of HDD space, Beats Audio, NFC and a HP TrueVision web camera.
As of now the release for the US market stands for November 14 with a pricing of $1,299, though no Indian release has been announced.
Besides this, HP has launched two TouchSmart AiOs that come with touch displays with support for Windows 8 gestures, the latest Intel Ivy Bridge silicon and come in 20-inch and 23-inch display sizes. Both models will cost $849 and $1,099 respectively and both these be available on October 23, which is weirdly three days before Microsoft launches Windows 8. Another AiO product called the Pavilion 20 has also been announced and it will also be Windows 8 compliant and it is being billed as an entry-level AiO offering at $499.
Again all these computers have only a US release date, so there is no information regarding an Indian release.

HP unveils Envy X2 hybrid and the Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook at IFA

As expected, HP has announced a slew of Windows 8 centric products at IFA in Berlin. The products announced include the Envy X2 hybrid and the Envy TouchSmart UltraBook.

The HP Envy X2 hybrid sports a 11.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, a dockable keyboard, an Intel Atom Clover Trail CPU, a 8-megapixel camera, 32GB and 64GB storage options, NFC connectivity, 3G connectivity and also comes with an optional stylus. The tablet without the keyboard weighs 1.5Kg and HP claims to provide 10 hours of battery life.

The Envy TouchSmart UltraBook on the other hand, features a more conventional design similar to the current generation UltraBooks provided by HP. Information about the Envy TouchSmart are sketchy, but we know that it features a 14-inch HD multi-touch display with a resolution 1366×768 pixels, an optional AMD card with 2GB of memory, and is 23mm thin and weighs around 2.16kg. HP claims to provide 8 hours of battery life.
